PALMETTO HALL PLANTATION

Palmetto Hall Plantation was created in 1991 and is a true community in every sense of the word with a diversity of ages and interests, and a spirited club life. All is contained within 750 acres of expansive natural beauty, dense with woodlands, punctuated with sparkling lakes and pristine inland marshes. Generously sized single-family homesites and the low density of residents contribute to a sense of open space and closeness to nature.
Virtually all homesites are full-sized and golf-front, bordering the fairways of two championship golf courses; one designed by Arthur Hills and the other designed by Robert Cupp.

Inside the private gates of Palmetto Hall is a world rich in history of the Old South. Tradition gently permeates the entire community, from the Savannah-brick walled entrance and white wood-sided clubhouse to the classical Southern homes along the oak-shaded avenues. During the development a rich heritage was discovered with a wealth of artifacts, carefully preserved by the developer, such as pottery, pieces of porcelain, mounds of mollusk shells, salt-glazed stoneware, rainbow-hued glass.

This fairly new private residential country club community consists of amenities including two championship golf courses, clubhouse, adult and children's pools, lighted tennis courts, playground, changing rooms and a permanent barbecue area. It is truly private with no restaurants, villas or commercial ventures.
