INDIGO RUN PLANTATION

Indigo Run has been developed as Hilton Head's last grand private golf and residential community. Located on the north end of Hilton Head Island, Indigo Run is convenient to shopping, schools, recreation, the Hilton head Hospital, medical and professional services. Its 1,712 acres feature high-ground forest with huge laurel oaks; bottom-ground forests with freshwater ponds and abundant wildlife, trees and flowers; and the river bluff area bordering Broad Creek.
Indigo Run is planned for low density, with residences located within a 24-hour security gate. The homesites border the golf course and lagoons. There are no villas in Indigo Run Plantation and only long-term rentals are permitted with arrangements of one year or longer.

The Indigo Run River Club has been planned as an exclusive waterfront community along the banks of Broad Creek with a separate secure entrance and private recreation area. Many of the owners have backyard boat docks.

The Golf Club at Indigo Run is a members-only layout designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II and opened in 1996. The Golden Bear Golf Club was designed by Nicklaus' company and can be played by the public. All property owners at Indigo Run are entitled to join Golden Bear Golf Club which membership includes access to Sunningdale Park that has six tennis courts, an Olympic-size pool, a kiddie pool and a large playground for children. Indigo Run also has 258 acres of retail and commercial space known as Indigo Park.
